This tender chicken in a creamy sauce gets fast flavour from salad dressing mix.  Served over rice or pasta, it's rich, delicious and special enough for company.  Ok I copied this from the recipe book.  :)


4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (4oz each)
1 envelope of italian salad dressing mix
1pk(8 oz) of cream cheese, softened
1cn(10 3/4 oz) of condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1cn(4 oz) mushroom stems and pieces, drained


1.  Place the chicken in a 3 qt. slow cooker.  Combine salad dressing mix and water; pour over chicken.  Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.
2.  In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and soup until blended.  Stir in mushrooms. Pour over chicken.  Cook 1 hour longer or until chicken juices run clear. 
Serve over pasta or rice.  Garnish with oregano if desired. 


Recipe can be doubled and still fit in 3 qt slow cooker (with 6 large chicken breasts)  Suggest smaller pieces of chicken though.
